The road freight survey released by Ti yesterday resonates with ongoing concerns within the industry, highlighting the formidable challenges posed by escalating costs amid economic uncertainties.
The survey identifies several factors contributing to the financial strain on hauliers, including the global economic downturn and surging inflation. Driver wages, tolls, vehicle maintenance, insurance premiums, and fuel prices have all soared, as a result, haulage companies find their profit margins under strain.
