Typhoon Tapah impacts Southern China & Hong Kong Ports

Typhoon Tapah has significantly disrupted logistics operations across Southern China and Hong Kong.

With wind gusts reaching up to 108 km/h, authorities have ordered mass evacuations and temporarily closed major transport infrastructure, including airports and ocean terminals.

Current impact on logistics services

• Airports and ocean terminals – closed until further notice
• Pilot services – suspended across the region
• Vessel delays – expected due to adverse weather and infrastructure shutdowns
• Feeder and inland river access to Nansha – temporarily suspended under flood alerts
• Schedule impact – delays of 7–10 days anticipated for Tier 2 and Tier 3 carrier services; 3–5 days for Tier 1 carriers
