25% Russian Oil Tariffs on India Eliminated

On February 6, 2026, U.S. President Trump announced changes to the Russian oil tariffs. The modification terminates the 25% tariff on goods originating from India starting February 7, 2026.

The change is a result of India’s commitment to stop, directly or indirectly, importing Russian Federation oil, its pledge to purchase U.S. energy products, and its recent commitment to a framework with the U.S. to expand defense cooperation over the next 10 years.
