FAQs on Silica-Based Products WRO

CBP posted FAQs for a WRO on silica-based products from China, produced by Hoshine Silicon Industry. The FAQs clarified the scope reaches further than the solar industry.
The scope of the WRO includes and is not limited to:
- Component Materials – silicon, including metallurgic grade silicon, silicon oxide and certain silicones in primary forms;
- Intermediate Goods - semiconductor devices, integrated circuits, additives for aluminum alloys and concrete; and
- Finished Goods - photovoltaic cells, solar generators, solar panels, electronics, adhesives, and lubricants.
Products containing any material made with forced labor are prohibited in the U.S.
