Goods from Xinjiang Uyghur Region to be Banned

U.S. President Biden signed the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act on December 23, 2021. According to the U.S. Department of State, "this new law gives the U.S. government new tools to prevent goods made with forced labor in Xinjiang from entering U.S. markets and to further promote accountability for persons and entities responsible for these abuses."

Goods made in whole or in part of materials originating in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region will be banned from importation into the United States.
