On July 13th, U.S. Customs and Border Protection issued CSMS #48755560 INFORMATION: Expiration of General Approved Exclusion Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) 7208.39.0015.

The Section 232 General Approved Exclusion (GAE) number for HTS 7208.39.0015 on Flat Rolled Iron expired at midnight on June 30, 2021. This is a result of the expiration of the HTS number. The new replacement HTS numbers are 7208.39.0020 and 7208.30.0025. Both are subject to Section 232 duties and quotas effective July 1, 2021.

GAEs are general exclusions to Section 232 tariffs on steel [25%] and aluminum [10%] products.
