This notice impacts importers and exporters of wildlife specimens and flora for business use or on behalf of an individual(i.e. a broker) and file U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Declaration for Importation or Exportation of Fish and Wildlife (Form 3-177) in 1999, and from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2020.

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has received Freedom of Information Act(FOIA) request for information related to the import and export of wildlife specimens and flora into and out of the U.S. contained in the Law Enforcement Management Information System(LEMIS) database. The data is derived from the information provided on Form 3-177 including Import/Export License Number, Business Names & Addresses, Quantity, Value.

The deadline to object to the release of the data is June 11th.
