Trump Says He ‘Thinks’ 25% Tariffs on Mexico, Canada to Start Feb. 1

On March 2, 2025, President Trump amended the Executive Orders imposing tariffs on products of Canada and Mexico under International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). The amendment temporarily allows de minimis treatment for eligible covered articles until adequate systems are in place to fully and expeditiously process and collect tariff revenue. Once systems are in place, de minimis will cease to be available.

Tariffs on products of Mexico and Canada are scheduled for March 4, 2025.

We will continue to monitor this tariff action and provide updates as they become available.
