Canada Tariff List Modified, Starting Oct 30

On October 23, 2026, U.S. President Trump modified the list of products subject to the 50% tariffs on products of Canada.

The changes go into effect on October 30, 2026.

Effective Date

These changes shall be effective with respect to goods entered for consumption, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, on or after 12:01 a.m. eastern time on October 30, 2026.

Section 338 Canada Modifications

The HTSUS is modified to reflect the following changes to the list of products subject to the Section 338 tariffs [subdivision (b)(3) of U.S. note 51 of subchapter III of chapter 99] on products of Canada:

• 100 additional HTSUS numbers are subject to additional tariffs under HTSUS 9903.03.14 at an ad valorem rate of 50%. Refer to Annex I, Part B.

• 22 HTSUS numbers are no longer subject to the tariffs. Refer to Annex I, Part A.
