U.S. Customs MPF Increases on Oct 1, 2025

Effective October 1, 2025, U.S. Customs and Border Protection is adjusting certain customs user fees and corresponding limitations, including the minimum and maximum for the Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF) assessed on formal (Entry Type 01) customs entries in accordance with the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (FAST Act).

The MPF ad valorem rate of 0.3464% will NOT change. The MPF minimum and maximum for formal entries will change. The minimum will change from $32.71 to $33.58, and the maximum will change from $634.62 to $651.50. 

The Merchandise Processing Fee is assessed on U.S. imports and is based on the shipment value, also known as the Total Entered Value, as stated on your Customs Form 7501.
