Japan Port Operations affected by Tsunami Warnings

Following the earthquake near the Kamchatka Peninsula on 30 July, tsunami warnings and advisories were issued across Japan. While our employees and facilities remain unaffected, the situation continues to impact ocean freight operations.

Latest Operational Status (as of 09:00 JST, 31 July)

Vessel loading and unloading operations have resumed at Tokyo, Yokohama and Nagoya ports. With the exception of a few local ports, loading and unloading are now continuing or resuming at nearly all ports across Japan.

Ongoing Impacts:

• Vessel loading and unloading has resumed at Tokyo, Yokohama and Nagoya ports.
• Significant congestion continues around container yards (CY) and delivery/vessel delays are still expected.

Note: The port status above is based on information available as of 17:00 JST on 31 July and covers the main ports where operations were affected by the tsunami warning. It does not include all ports in Japan.

The tsunami advisory has now been officially lifted.

Most ports nationwide have returned to normal or resumed operations—with some exceptions at smaller, local ports. We continue to monitor the situation closely and will update customers on any further changes.
