2022 HTS Semiannual Revision Issued by ITC, May Affect Section 301

7 July 2022

The International Trade Commission posted Revision 6 to the 2022 Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS). This update adds new tariff codes for products across a variety of tariff headings including vegetables, beverages, textiles, and spirits. Changes take effect July 1st, 2022.

Some changes to the HTS may impact HTS classifications subject to Section 301 duties and exclusions.

Importers and filers are encouraged to monitor the Federal Register and Customs guidance on the HTS changes effective July 1st which are covered by Section 301 duties or exclusions.
