MPF Increases on Oct 1, 2022

Effective October 1, 2022, U.S. Customs and Border Protection is adjusting the minimum and maximum for the Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF) in accordance with the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (FAST Act.)

The MPF ad valorem rate of 0.3464% will NOT change. The MPF minimum and maximum for formal entries will change. The minimum will change from $27.75 to $29.66, and the maximum will change from $538.40 to $575.35.

MPF is assessed on imports into the United States and is based on the shipment value, also known as Total Entered Value on your Customs Form 7501.
