U.S. Bangladesh Joint Statement on Reciprocal Trade Released

On February 9, 2026, the White House released a Joint Statement on the United States-Bangladesh Agreement on Reciprocal Trade. The effective date will be announced later.

Key U.S. Tariff Terms

  • Reciprocal tariffs shall not apply to originating goods of Bangladesh as set out in Schedule 2 [starts on page 173].
  • For all other originating goods from Bangladesh, the reciprocal rate will be reduced to 19 percent [from 20%].
  • Certain textiles and apparel from Bangladesh will receive a zero reciprocal tariff rate.
