Beginning July 24, 2022, FDA will require Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) food importers to provide their valid, 9-digit DUNS number on declarations to FDA. 

U.S. Customs will reject an entry line of food subject to the FSVP regulations when the importer's DUNS number is not provided.

Previously, FDA allowed FSVP importers to declare 'unknown' in the data element field.
