Effective September 18, 2023, U.S. Customs announced it will no longer detain disposable gloves produced by Supermax Corporation Bhd. and its wholly owned subsidiaries due to the successful remediation of forced labor indicators in the company's supply chain.

Effective October 21, 2021, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) "will detain disposable gloves produced by Supermax Corporations Bhd.'s wholly-owned subsidiaries, Maxter Glove Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd., Maxwell Glove Manufacturing Bhd, and Supermax Glove Manufacturing ... based on information that reasonably indicates their use of forced labor in manufacturing operations. CBP identified 10 of the International Labour Organization's indicators of forced labor during its investigation."
