Section 301 China: Request for Comments on Certain Exclusions

On August 26, 2021, The U.S. Trade Representative announced a Request for Comments on Certain Products Exclusions Related to COVID-19: China's Acts, Policies, and Practices Related to Technology Transfer, Intellectual Property, and Innovation.

This is related to the last four sets of Section 301 China product exclusions available to importers of those products to avoid additional duty that would otherwise be due.

The 99 product exclusions cover COVID-19 response products and are scheduled to expire September 30, 2021.

Public comment is requested on whether to extend particular exclusions past September 30, 2021, for up to an additional six months.
