AN124 Aircraft chartered by NNR Malaysia
June 20, 2020 (Saturday): – Another milestone for NNR in “connecting your dreams”. The Man-made marvel, the Antonov AN-124 recently landed at Penang International Airport. During this challenging times which everyone and industry are affected by COVID-19, customers are faced by staggering increased in airfreight rates and limited space capacity, By thinking out of the box, NNR team work tirelessly to find solutions to our customer to help them save on the cost, yet not compromising the delivery time frame.
The Antonov An-124 Ruslan is a strategic airlift quad jet. It was designed in the 1980s by the Antonov design bureau in the Ukrainian SSR, then part of the Soviet Union (USSR). Until the Boeing 747-8F, the An-124 was, for thirty years, the world’s heaviest gross weight production cargo airplane and second heaviest operating cargo aircraft, behind the one-off Antonov An-225 Mriya (a greatly enlarged design based on the An-124). The An-124 remains the largest military transport aircraft in current service. The lead designer of the An-124 (and the An-225) was Viktor Tolmachev.
For the loading and unloading of the cargo payload, the Antonov An-124 has been fitted with both cargo and the nose doors which are used for both loading and unloading purposes. This simultaneous cargo loading and unloading allows for the Antonov An-124 to be a great strategic asset in moving tons of cargo.
Aside from its massive size, the AN-124 offers other heavy-lift capabilities – roll-on, roll-off ramps for cargo fore and aft, internal cranes that run along the roof to manipulate large and unusually-sized cargo, and front-end kneeling to allow for easier loading. The main compartment is only partially pressurized, but most of the time these aircraft are used to haul industrial-sized equipment, which doesn’t need a comfortable environment
Like the saying, the sky is the limit, we should never limit ourselves, but creating the impossible to “I ‘m possible “, we at NNR will continue to strive and go out of our way to help our customer need and provide best solutions, “Do not think of the cheapest way to do it, or the fastest way to do it, think the most amazing way to do it” – Richard Branson
